re: what meds are your children on?

I don’t know if this helps but I took prednisone to different degrees until I was 33 and then went to a new endo that suggested hydrocortisone.

He is cute and seemed more comfortable with the hydro besides he told me that the hydro more naturally mimicks what the bodiy makes so I said ok because he stated we could always go back. I just wanted something to help me with the CAH - natural or not and the pred did a pretty darn good job.

I was studied and under the care of the people that taught the other doctors and although I have terrible quirks from that  ....I can say that without the pred, I think my case of CAH would of been worse.

Each med has go and bad points. Plus, each case of CAH is so very different and like a craft you might say to manage.

The majority of children will be on cortef but you will find some on prednisone like I was and if I remember 5mgs/day and also some do well with dexamethasone.

beautiful day,

Aimee
