MikeSorry Crystal I’m not on here till my wife yells at me! My story is kinda different than most as I was not diagnosed until we were experiencing fertility problems. Our family Dr. was consulted after we had been trying for a year and he said I had low motility (slow swimmers) nothing could be done. After 6 years my wife got pregnant and soon miscarried. Our family Dr was out of town so she saw her sisters gyno. He was sure it was her who had a problem and after her D&C put her on fertility meds after another year we went to a fertility specialist in Erie, PA and he hit the roof over her being on these meds with no testing on her and he sent me to a urologist. My blood work came back so out of wack he was sure the lab had made a mistake and was going to reorder everything when my wife told him we had a niece (my side) who was born with a condition (we did not know the name back then) her private parts were swollen, she took cortisone a hormone and got a tsp of salt in every bottle. Well you would have thought she flipped the light switch. He said she had CAH and he would bet I did too. After more test they decided I did indeed have SWCAH and they are at a loss to explain how I survived after birth, though I suspect that a home made formula with a lot of salt had something to do with it.See next post!
