My son takes a 5mg tablet per day - every 8 hours in equal amounts.  I dissolve the tablet in 3 ml of water in a syringe.  At dosing time, I mix it up and squirt 1 ml into his mouth.  When he was an infant, I put a little cherry syrup in it.  You can buy the syrup at the pharmacy
