Undersuppression in my 5 month old?
Apr. 2nd, 2007   7:49am

My daugther is 5 months old and has been losing her hair on the top of her head.  She lost it once when they started to taper her off of the hydrocortisone, to see where her levels would go if they took her off.  (at that point they were trying to decide if she had SWCAH like me.  My problem is, that by the time I was her age I had loads of hair.  What I don’t seem to understand is this normal?  She started to grow quite a bit of hair on her head and then the other day its pretty much all gone again. And its starting to take over in the other parts like her side burns and other various areas.  I just don’t seem to understand this.  My mom says its not normal for infant girls to lose their hair because of the testosterone levels, so my only other thing is that my daughter may be undersuppressed.

Does anybody have any ideas here?  I’d truly appreciate it.
