RebeccaMHello,
I don’t come in here as often as I used to but when I came in the other night I went through some old posts and saw Kellie Light’s daughter’s paper she wrote. Very nicely written and informative, I must say. In it, she mentioned Chronocort as being something that is on the horizons. Today, when I came back to find it again, I scrolled through and saw the posts on Obsession. I glanced through those and thought I would put my two thoughts together.
I have an obsession with finding out what is happening with Chronocort. Ironically enough, the day after I read the paper and went to bioFusion’s site, they had just put out their interim financials (April 2nd 2007)and on it was a statement about Diurnal who, with Phoqus, has retained the money to go into Phase II of the Clinical Trials and expect it to be on the market in 2 to 3 years.
What I am wondering is what you all know about Chronocort, if you can direct me to previous posts about it, and if anyone is as cautiously excited as I am about the prospects of this new drug delivery system?
It would seem to me (and I know very little to nothing about most things I haven’t had clear study on) that if it turns out to be succesful in Europe after testing on actual CAH patients (my understanding being that the first phase was to take healthy volunteers and suppress their adrenals then give them the modified time release capsules) that it really wouldn’t take that long to be approved here. It seems like it is jut the delivery system they are working out, right?
I am assuming this discussion has already taken place and I, as usual, am coming in at the end but it sounds so promising considering they had no ill effects and the pill appeared to work like a charm.
One pill, once a day, mimicking the circadian rhythm? I keep thinking "something that seems too good to be true..." and all but...
Let me know what you know but, please, be gentle if it will dampen my enthusiasm:)
Thanks!
