SueI would disagree that most people from the UK don’t like being called a Brit and I can’t see how this is seen as offensive. In fact I was heartened by Aimee’s post, which made me proud to be a Brit - thank you Aimee! I don’t tend to call people from the USA Yanks but agree with Danny, this is a similar term and when used it is generally meant with affection.
As to Chronocort, I am in regular touch with the manufacturers and the doctors instigating the research and can report that the project is progressing well, with patient studies in place to start in the second half of this year. If all continues well, the tablet should be available for all within 2 years. They say it will revolutionise treatment of CAH, as it will mimic natural circadian rhythm of cortisol, making it easier to fine tune doses and therefore ’side effects’ from over/under treatment should be easier to avoid. Rebecca, you are right to be excited - I am too!
