Undersuppression in my 5 month old..continued

Actually, I would disagree with both of you, it is something serious.  Females should not lose their hair.  I can understand them losing the hair on the back of their head if they are laying on it a lot and rubbing it.  I can also understand that they would lose their hair that they came out of the womb with.  But from my experience and my mothers experiences and a lot of the mothers I have spoken to, that is not true for females to lose their hair.

Yes it’s very common for boys to lose their hair because they are trying to regulate their testosterone levels.  Even my pediatrican agrees with me that this is not normal.  She told me that it could be that her iron levels are low.  We’re testing her to see what is wrong.

Children may be different, but it is understandable on why boys lose their hair.  I have looked it up and they say that hormone levels can be the cause of a child losing their hair.  Which would be one reason why CAH could contribute to a childs hair loss.  It even talks about prednisone and florinef having that as a side effect of it.

Thank you guys for your opinions, but I would have to say that I disagree with both of you.  Alopecia is not something to be taken lightly.  Especially when she should have hair by now.  And how would you like to grow up bald?  For all I know and you know is that my child could continue to lose the hair that grows in and could never have hair grow on the top of her head.  But that isn’t too serious I guess..
