Hi Kat,

Thanks for the reply.  No she’s not on BP medication.  Our doctor is currently having us experiment with lowering her Florinef dose.  We’ll see if it helps.  When we tried lowering it a couple of months ago her renin went out of control.  She has had high BP for quite a while but I didn’t realize how high it was until I checked the BP tables online.  I will ask our pediatrician about calcium of magnesium supplements.  And we’ve never directly checked aldosterone levels.  She is a salt waster so I don’t think she makes any, right?  In the archives a couple of people talked about how their child had high BP for the first couple of years, even when they tried lowering Florinef doses.   And then it resolved itself as their child got older.  I’m hoping that will be the case here, but I wanted to get other’s opinions/experiences. Anyway, thank you again for writing back!
