aimeemore from me ☺ I think life is to short to live anywhere you don’t want to be and it seemed like you wrote good thoughts of Nevada and I was wondering if you gave any thought to moving there? It’s something how rent and property taxes are going up and pretty soon it seems like all this is going to move the service sectors out of the areas - the lower end to the higher end of the service sectors seem to be all moving where I live. A million dollar home also need a postal carrier to deliver mail to it, a rent- a- cop to guard it, a gardner, a house keeper to clean it and we can’t afford to live here to support their way of life. They knocked down the cool hotels from the 60’s and put up these million plus hotel/condos but the infastructure that runs the place - poor people ☺can’t afford rent or homes anyway.
Only good as the layer that supports your way of life- If your grounds keeper to your golf course can’t afford his medication or support his family and pay rent or property taxes then your golf course isn’t going to be anymore. You can’t have your business lunch with a server and if she can’t afford to live in the area the no business lunches. See Elaine, I do understand and maybe Vegas that relys on service workers would have affordable housing.
