Re: Surgery

My daughter has CAH and needs both surgeries. I had asked some questions before and thought that most people had the surgeries together, rather than apart. I am Laid-off so I called the doctor to see if we could do both surgeries A.S.A.P. The nurse said his notes said the clitoralplasty now and the vaginal one later. I am confused. What would be the reason for the wait. She is young (4 years old) and can bounce back better. Her bone age is 5 years old. Why not do them together. Some people hit puberty at 8 now a days. She would need the second surgery in a few years anyway. Why put her under anesthesia twice?? Any thoughts on this. Will she have to be stretched if the opening is made too young???

Help?? Thanks
