GwenEden-
I can relate! My younger boy (SW but due to hypoplasia) has been about the same weight for close to 4 months- he is a little older than your son- 14 months- his height isn’t stellar- at his last endo check up in Feb- he is no longer "on the charts" for linear growth- his doc reduced his corteff dose- stating he felt Johnny was getting too much and that could be having an impact (he also reduced my older son’s dose at the same time- same reason- poor linear growth). I know my boys scenario is different- we don’t have any androgen’s that need to be suppressed- so it is probably easier to reduce the dose. I also decided to increase Johnny’s sodium supp.- these seems to help some- the doc was telling us to decrease.......... Johnny’s body just wasn’t ready.
Also- I talked to the boys’ ped (who saved my younger son’s life- she truly is a godsend) and talked to her about "typical" growth in a "healthy" child- this made me a lot more comfortable with Johnny’s growth- and don’t forget you son is probably starting to really move around alot!!! Most kids start to slim down at this stage-
Take care- Gwen
