re: Adults out there with SWCAH?

I am 50 and though I was not diagnosed till fertility issues arose I do have classic SWCAH Drs. aren’t sure why I survived. But I did and had a fairly normal life. I am only 5’3" but Drs. said if I had been properly treated I would be 6 to 6’3"(which is how tall my 17 year old son is!) And even the inferlity issuses were resolved when they got me on right meds. I was a VERY ACTIVE Boy Scout as a child, wrestled and played baseball, and split my head open at a church sled riding party. I spent a couple days in intensive care for the concussion but remember they did not know about SWCAH. The only crisis I have had came(after diagnosis and treatment) when I had the flu and was vomiting and running to bathroom (so not much medicine was getting into me). So my best advice is always get your childs flu shot and enjoy your NORMAL child with an endocrin problem.I take prednisone and florinef.
