I am almost 43 and I have SW-CAH. I take dexamethasone and florinef. I also take synthroid for hypothyroidism. I do struggle with weight. That being said, life has been good so far. I am married, I have four children. So far, I’ve really enjoyed the ride! Never really gave CAH a thought except to take my meds faithfully. Even full blown drunk during the college years!

I do have a slight case of osteopenia that I just take extra Vitamin D and calcium.

Some day, I hope to make a CARES conference as I have never met anyone with CAH. I had an older sister that died at 10 days from CAH. Because of her, I am here today. They were watching for me!

I go the endo every six months or so. I e-mail if I have questions/concerns. Bone density every two years since I was 30ish.
