SarahgHi,
I’ve never posted here before and only found the site tonight and it has already answered so many questions that I have from my childhood.
Both my parents are carriers of CAH and both of my brothers have died from the condition. My older brother was still born and my younger brother died at 3 weeks old.
It has taken my mum 23 years to tell me and I am now in a whirlwind of research.
My husband and I have found out that we will need IVF to have our family due to a genetic trait on his side. I have wanted to be an egg sharer for a long time as I know many women who cannot have their own children due to illness and other factors in their life have left them infertile.
I have been looking through the information and it doesn’t say whether with CAH in my family whethre we can do egg sharing.
My sister and I have been tested and we do not have CAH but we don’t know whether we will be carriers. How easy is it to find out?
Sorry this is so long
Sarah
