My husband had a genetic test done to find if he is a carrier of the CAH gene. It was a simple blood test. We contacted a genetic counselor at Easter Seals and they had a free consultation with us and then they set up the lab order for us. This was a little costly due to our insurance carriers not covering any genetic testing but it was worth it...(hint, if you have to pay out of pocket for this test, make sure you tell the lab or the genetic couselor that it is self pay, the lab knocked a bunch of of our bill when i called them and explained we were paying) hopes this helps.
