Talked with EMT Today

I have a question. I am hoping that someone can help me. I was talking with an EMS person today while I was at work and I was asking him if they have Solu-cortef on the truck. And he said that they do not carry that on the truck anymore because it is only good for 8- 10 hours. And they said that it was point less to carry. And I said well I have a son who has an adrenal insufficency and he is steroid dependent and I was telling them that you know if he were to get sick or hurt in a serious way that he was to have a shot and then I was to call 911 and they might have to administer the IV bag with the solu -cortef and he said well you dont need that because it lasts in your system for like 8-10 hours and so it was point less for them to carry and have to do that, and I was like ok but I said what happens if i am in a car accident and he needs his shot and Im unconcious? And he just kinda looked at me. And he told me that they dont carry it anymore because it was basically useless. So here i am thinking of the what ifs and what were to happen if God forbid we get in a accident im unconcious and my sons meds are everywhere and he needs the shot and its all broken and they have no solu-cortef? What are they going to do? I am so upset by this. I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill but im like freaking out about it. I just need some advice about what i should do.
