MistyAimee,
I have talked with the head of the EMS when school was starting and I was told that they did carry that solu medrol on the cart but now he said that they dont carry anything. Which I do know that if I give him the injection then call that they dont have to give him the bolus bag of solu cortef. Because it does last and he will be ok once he gets to the ER but my thing is this what happens if Im in an accident and I am knocked unconcious and his meds are spilled or broken and they dont have the slou cortef or solu medrol? Im just thinking of the what ifs. I know that this kind of situation might not ever happen but im just thinking out loud I guess. It just bothers me that they think that they know everything and they have no clue as to what i was trying to ask them. And the guy was not very nice. I said well that is not good. and he said well it is ok the meds last for 8-10 hours. I know that but im thinking of the what ifs. Maybe I should just stop thinking lol. You know sometimes I think it would be nice for everyone that is involved with medical filed to know or have someone in the family to have something like CAH or Fragilx just so they know what we mean and need for our children and for the adults as well. You know what i mean becasue when you tell them what they are suppose to do they always look at me like ok and you know this becasue why? and you went to school? Hello im more educated on this than they are. I think that they need to have a course in this when they go threw med school. My sister is going to school for nursing and she was telling her instructor about her nephew and she had no idea what she was talking about and in her um hell her patho class i think it was the never even talked about cah or anything like that. Im sorry im just rambling on now. So I will keep my mouth shut now and go to work!! LOL
