aimeeCorrect me If I’m wrong and yes the pred does last for 8-10 hours but doesn’t the cortef/hydro only last for six?
AND we take that dose to help us normally go along as in work or day to day activity and even some small illness BUT need extra for car accidents and such? Where were need some cute paramedic to have something to help us like solu- medrol.
It is frustrating Misty and I don’t think that you think to much about this type of stuff - You are only trying to cover the bases so you can move forward and enjoy with your child.
Do they have anything to help on the rig that is also used for other patients conditions?
Why don’t they carry solu-medrol anymore and what did they put in place of it?
What is your kids endo take on all of this?
In my hospitals computers - (4 hospitals that are linked and where someone would be routed to in emergency) are info pages on everyone that has used those hospitals and on my page I made sure that along with CAH and the other conditions is that the word adrenal insufficiency is there as well- I was told that this is something that the ER doctor will look at. Do you have anything like this where they know a little about who is coming in? I’ve been sick for other things - had the Gall bladder then a virus thing that was awlful along with the time before going to an ER with a bleeding urinary tract issue and that foley cathador trouble. I go to any of those 4 Er and it’s you what’s up girl ! how you doing.
I think if you could get some sort of plan and comfortable response then you might feel better about this whole thing.
I also wear one of these from here http://medicalert.com that speaks for me when I can’t. I totally understand where you are coming from in the feeling dept. about all this.
Best Wishes
