Putting the bracelet on an infant’s wrist is not a guarantee of having it noticed, because they don’t take a baby’s pulse on their wrist. Putting it on the diaper bag could get missed easily, too, in my opinion.

We always put it on our children’s ankles (they can’t pull it off there as easily, either!), but when we went out of the house, or especially on long car or plane trips, I had this trick: I would write the Medic Alert number and information on my child’s disposible diaper, in permanent marker! That is sure to get noticed because they will strip the child down in an emergency and likely take the pulse in the groin area..... Although we never needed it, it made me feel more at ease, anyway!
