Dr Poppas also did our daughters surgery when she was 3.  We saw him  3 mths after for a follow up then again in 1 yr. At this last visit he did not exam her.....only spoke to us re any concerns. He likes to see the kids & keep in touch so that they will know him & be comfortable with him. I feel assured knowing that he is continuing to follow through with her care. If in future she needs any more surgery or intervention than it is in her best interest to know & be comfortable with her Dr.
