I’m sorry if I am a little off I didn’t get to read every post.I am only 11, but I am treated as an 18 year old girl. I never had the surgery because I didn’t need it.I don’t know what it would be like to have an exam after surgery but I know that if you don’t have the same gender doctor as the patient it can cause some embarrassment. I myself have mostly male doctors including my endo my only woman doctor is my gynecologist. I still have exams every other time I go to my endo. I have learned that its part of what the doctors do. They have your health in mind and don’t know what you feel like. My endo always asks especially when I was younger if he can look and see if everything is alright. Like everybody says go with your gut if something doesn’t feel right ask about it and then you have an idea of whats going on. I felt real embarrassed when my endo first asked but my mom explained it by saying that he needs to check everything to make sure everything is ok. I now know my endo better and am usually comfortable with his decisions right now I am trying to get an endoscopy because we have tried everything else and nothings happening he totally agrees that something needs to be done. If you feel your daughter doesn’t need all the exams try to work something out with the doc, but always go with your gut.Tamara
