My 8 year old SWCAH daughter also takes Hysone 4mg, however her dose is 9 mg per day, split in 3 doses - 4mg morning, 2mg afternoon, 3mg night.   28mg seems very high even though you are a lot older than my daughter.  My daughter also takes half a florinef just once per day, however I know that the salt wasting bit can vary a lot from one CAH person to another.    Have you thought about getting advice from another Endo, maybe post on the Aussie Board and see if you can get one recommended to you in Sydney.  The Australian CAH Support Group are also holding their Symposium in Sydney this year, you should try to get along to it.  The details are on the Aussie Board.  Good luck.
