VCUG’s are intrusive, require sedation and are not necessary tests unless there is a urological problem arise. While this can occur, it does not occur often enough to reuire routine VCUG’s I just sat on a national newborn screening follow-up committee and insisted that they take VCUG’s out of the list of routine follow-up procedures for CAH children that will be distributed to all of the states.


There is no rush for all of these procedures. Take your time. Get educated about them first. Call if we can help.
