I agree with Wendy-Lee.

In my personal opinion, if you’re wanting to conceive a child with a person whom is not concerned about himself, why would you want to put a child into that situation?  If he doesn’t care for himself, why would he care for a child?

I used to make excuses on taking my medication, I wouldnt take it cause I wanted to see whether or not I needed it, I couldnt afford it, etc.  But I am here to say that I always felt better taking it.  And since I have had a child myself, I have been trying to be good about not only giving her the medication she needs, but also taking care of myself.  Because if I can’t take care of myself, then how will she be taken care of properly?

Another thing is, if you truly loved him, you would try to be on top of the fact that he needs to take his medication.  If you don’t want to take part in that, then you shouldn’t be with him in the first place.  If you truly love the guy, you would be concerned for his medical well being.  Before my husband became my husband, he wrote down on the mirror "ask liz if she has taken her medicine?"  That being said, every night he would ask me if I took my medication.  If I hadn’t, he would personally get it out for me.  Not only did it help him to remind me, but by reading that message on the mirror, every single night, I learned to take it.  I couldn’t rely on him all the time cause when he shipped out for basic training, I had to learn to take it myself.  I was pregnant with his baby and I wanted her to be born perfect.

In November, I had a baby who doesn’t have bad symptoms from the CAH.  I was fortunate.  CAH is not something to be taken lightly and if you truly love him, you will try to help him.  Convincing him, trying to take care of him.  If you’re wanting to have his child, you should care about whether or not he takes his meds. Otherwise as the other people said, you won’t have a father for the child.
