re: Urine sodium test reference range?

Hi Kat,

I have some reference ranges for 24 hour urine tests but they are in mmol/24hour not nmol/L, yet the ranges seem to encompass the values you mentioned for your daughter - so I’m not too sure.

For 24 hour urinary -

Sodium: 130 - 260 mmol/24h

Potassium: 25 - 100 mmol/24h

Another reference guide I have says, -

Sodium: 40 - 220 mmol/24h

Potassium: 25 - 125 mmol/24h

There is a comment which says "for some procedures the reference values may vary depending on the method used."

Also there does not seem to be a differentiation between ages and sexes for these two parameters.
