I can understand my own personal error, even though the test I was performing seemed simple. But how do three other tests disagree with each other?

I asked my doctor to do another blood test. I was told that blood types are never done anymore because they are too expensive. That does not sound sensible. I worry that I might need a blood transfusion soon but they could give me the wrong type.
