My 3 month old daughter (SWCAH) had a renal ultrasound and a VCUG done last Friday to determine any neccessary surgeries.  The urologist came in after the tests and told us that there are certain cases that he cannot explain and hers is one of them.  She does not require any surguries (he said IF we allow her to have sex later in life :)  she may choose to enlarge her vaginal opening because it is a little small, but that’s it).  Our urologist and our endo told us that with the outragious numbers that she came in with when she had her initial adreanl crisis we should have seen a lot more virilization and internal problems.  Her 17 hydroxy was 22100 when we were admitted into the hospital when she was 10 days old.  The endo told us normal is 13-106.  When we left the urologist appointment I wanted to scream (but I thought that would be inappropriate in a hospital :)  ) I was so happy.
