My niece who is head of a local blood bank office told my husband that his meds would not stop them from taking his blood. He takes prednisone, florinef,nexium,and lipitor. The only things that get you defered are things like active infection,blood thinners, of course HIV and hepitus and forgein travel because of things like mad cow.
