Hi Y’all☺

I was looking at the post at the bottom with interest and was wondering if anyone has a thyroid condition (genetic hashi or others) as well as CAH?

I’m sorry if I’ve asked this before but I’ve been reading about the conection of low cortisol or for us cortisone and how that affects everything. Also was reading about how but not that sure about this ☺ that  T4 needs cortisol to convert T4 to T3......so what about us that don’t make cortisol and use the cortisones?Does that do a good enough job and then what about us that need something like Synthroid or Armour to make up fot the thyroid that isn’t making it’s hormones as well. I don’t know if any of this is clear but I’m asking my Endo as well¢À  to say it another way- Are the cortisones we take able to work just like the cortisol we don’t have in moving along the thyroid hormones or in my cause synthroid to do the job of the thyroid which has so much to do with fatigue of the whole body system.

I’ve been reading about the thyroid issues because I have Hashi Thyroid along with Classical Simple Virilizing CAH and these peeps on the thyroid board talk about adrenal low cortisol and although they don’t all bring up CAH ¢¾ some do talk of being diagnosed with LOCAH☺   ......it’s a small world after all ☺

Best Wishes,

Aimee
