Actually my intent was for parents to do it for their children, and more for personal use, primarily, although the societal implications are obvious.

I’m still working on a easy way to keep some of nthem private. I installed a plugin that allows selected text too be hidden from all but those registered at that journal, but in order for it to work the owner must activate the plugin, mark the text to be hidden, and make sure only those they choose are allowed to register. That’s a little more than some people can manage. There’s another option, but it will take a hack of the script itself, and I’m worried that too many people will choose it automatically. I like the idea of the most fascinating stories being linked to from the main page, via "most read" and "highest rated" lists.
