I think it is a wonderful Idea still.....even being part of ’youth’ without children to have anything to be recorded for. I read your speel (on the site) about wanting to know what your father was like, but since he was a stoic man found it hard to divulge...I’m sort of in a similar situation. I want to know what my mum and dad were like at my age. I think it would be interesting. But sometimes what they have to ’say’ doesn’t give that experience the same justice because it isn’t in the here and now. What I find wonderful about your journal, is the ’little’ things that can be recorded. The miniscule things thta can be read into by the reader at a later date. I think of how nice it would have been if this stuff was around when I was younger because m mum was the journal type. She kept a diary of her experiences having me as a child with CAH. And I can tell you that being able to read what she went through allows me to put alot of my own suffering into perspective. Because of the things she recorded I know that I’m not alone.

So keep going with the journal thing. I think that privacy may or may not be an issue. It just depends on the user. I have some blogs that are kept private and others that aren’t. I suppose its got to do with the type of people that may read it. (like none of my friends can read what I write about CAH - its more a record for me, and potentially for my future children that may have the condition too)

Have a wonderful Day
