I’ve tried Vaniqua(however you spell it) in the past for hair control and it didn’t have any affect on me what so ever, all it did was cause spots. That said, i probably didn’t try it for long enough as i got so fed up with getting spots. There are several hormone control drugs available eg. dianette, but i don’t know how these drugs can affect you emotionally etc, as i’ve heard they can cause depression etc. I personally took the laser route for my stomach area etc (Thanks to the NHS), like someone said before, if you can get the money for it, it is the most effective way to get rid of hair, especially on the face. I strongly recommend it as it has made me feel so much better about myself. The only other thing i know of is ’home salon’ laser machines eg. the rio scanning laser. But for £100-£200 i don’t know if they could give the same affect and are very time consuming. If i were you, i’d ask your daughter’s doctor about it, as that’s how i found out about hair removal. (Internet’s very useful too obviously).
