Any feedback is appreciated - I’m going to try to make this as short as possible, so I may miss a few details...Worried...Two weeks ago, our 7month old SWCAH daughter threw up a few minutes after eating rice cereal and fruit puree. At the time, she had been eating cereal for a month and fruit for a couple weeks with no problem, but we assumed that it was the combination of the two that made her throw up. The next day, we went to a friend’s house and hour away - ten minutes after being in the car, she drank about 6oz of breastmilk then fell asleep. When she woke up a half hour later (in the moving car), she threw everything up all over herself and her seat. We thought maybe her stomach was becoming more sensitive (because of the day before) and the car made her sick. Fast forward four days - after giving her rice cereal with apple, she threw up again. And she’s thrown up once every four days since, and it always seems related to tasting something by mouth. (I’ve talked to both my pediatrician and endo nurse twice)
Then today (she hasn’t had anything solid in a few days and is just on breastmilk), I tried giving her a tiny sip of fruit punch to try to get her used to it to give her meds with, and she spit it out and threw up. Then tonight, after going to bed at 6pm and fussing every 15 min or so, she finally woke up after two hours and threw up again (not a ton, but 3oz or so).
When she throws up, she acts fine before (except for the fussiness tonight) and after. But for the past couple days, she’s seemed a little more fussy than normal...teething, possibly? I have given her extra cortef when needed after voimiting. A couple other things - I wake her at 11pm for her last meds and feeding and her mouth always seems quite dry. And, her appetite for solids has gone down dramatically in the past few weeks.
Is this related to CAH or just a normal baby with a sensitive stomach? Any thoughts?
