gwenMy guy is a good eater when it is applesauce and rice! So I am not sure if his refusal to eat is an age thing (they seem to like to assert their independence at this age - my older son was kind of the same way)........... but Johnny did "gag" a lot on food- never sure why, but he did. We kept him on stage 2 and 3 foods for a long time. Johnny does refuse to eat when he is teething- drinks fine but refuses to eat- well he will eat ice cream (who won’t?!) But I can tell you I am pretty darn sure that even though Johnny’s "levels" were OKAY according to the doc, that the vomiting was associated to his sodium intake. We have always used table salt- Johnny didn’t respond well to the sodium chloride the docs had originally prescribed- it made him gag and vomit- so the endo told us how much non-iodized salt to give him on a daily basis and all was well until he told us we could decrease and then stop the supplementation- that was when the volcano began. I will tell you that I dreaded meal time because I just knew I would have a mess to clean up and then have to redose the meds. If you want to talk further, you can email me....... gwen_tom (at)comcast(dot)net.
But the increase in table salt (we give him about 1/8 of teaspoon @ every meal) seemed to the trick.
