JudyMy 10 (almost 11) year old son has been taking Arimidex for the past couple of months. His bone age is slightly advanced so his doctor recommended Arimidex to do exactly what the post above stated. It keeps estrogen from fusing the bones while still allowing growth to occur. Since he just started, I don’t have any idea if it’s working or not. We will know when we get the next bone age done which might not be until next year. The doctor said he may be on Arimidex for a year or two. As far as we can tell he has had no side effects. I hope this information is helpful to you.
