Dear Anon -

Yes, it will get better.  Sit down, take a deep deep breath.  It sounds like you are doing your best. I do truely understand what you are going through.  My daughter is 20 months old- she has non-SW CAH.   She was born with very ambigious genitalia.   She had the surgery at 9 month and is doing wonderful.

As far as the doctors go - you must stand your ground, ask questions over and over again until you are happy with the information.  For us, in the begining we made a couple of appointments with different doctors just for us to sit and talk - we didn’t even take the baby with us.   I also have used the internet alot researching what each blood test is and what the normal range is - then each appointment I record the results.

We also had the same problem with the urine test, those bags are a big problem.  Try holding the baby while she is standing in your arms ~ let her drink some juice or whatever while she is standing there--- that’s how we got the best results.  One time they didn’t want us to leave the doctors office until they had enough for a good test....I think we sat there for about 3 hours!!!!

Your in my prayers and my fingers are crossed for you.  If you need a friend to chat with my direct email is cjsilentheart@cox.net.
