We absolutely do have funds available to help with travel costs. Also, for those folks that live within 1000 miles of LA, Angel Flight will bring you for free. Call us and we can guide you through the resources. I wish I had the money to bring everyone there for free!!! Oh well. Maybe someday.

Our conference this year is going to be more expensive than past years. We are bringing in speakers from outside the US in addition to the experts brought from different parts of the US. The theme is CAH through the Life Cycle. We will also offer the Spanish translation again for those who have Spanish as a first language.

We are always looking for new topics, so let us know what you think should be covered at the conference.

By the way, CARES’ research funding is beginning to pan out! One article for a study we supported will be published shortly in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and next week at the Endocrine Society meeting, Dr. Debbie Merke is going to present her finding from the genetic studies done on our families. She is going to be making a big announcement. I can’t tell you until next week, but it is sure interesting and important. Also, over the summer she will begin the trials of Chronocort on adults and then on kids as soon as it is approved for trials by the FDA. Chronocort will release hydrocortisone on a circadian rhythym.
Also, the study about amplodipine use to reduce Cortef will be published shortly. We are beginning several new projects as well.

So, please help with the No Sweat Run for a Cure. It is really important. If every CARES member raised $500, we would have $1 million for research!!!!! Think about what a difference that could make!
