That glucose paste tastes horrid - in real fact it made me throw up again and my BSL dropped even lower.

When it happen to me, it was in the back of an ambulance (and I was 17 at the time) and my BSL was 1.2 (Australian measurement) when normal levels are 4-8. So I suppose it was a quarter of what the lowest it was meant to be. I was sick when it happened though, and I hadn’t eaten for about 2 days. Apart from that one episode I’ve never had one before.

Diabetes runs in my family so I am getting tested every year or so...but everytime my BSL has been sitting on about 3.6 whereas the rest of my families is more like the 6+...I am lucky, but then again I have to watch it really close...
