re: sodium supplements
Aug. 16th, 2002   3:39am

Hi Lisa

Our 3 year old SWCAH daughter has never taken any salt supplements.  I did ask her Endo after reading various messages on the other message board about sodium supplements for babies.  He explained that the Florinef was all that was necessary and that sodium supplements were something that was given here also in the past but there was never really a reason for giving them.  It was just one of those cases where it was just something that was always done and no-one questioned why, however he says there is no reason why the Florinef can't do all that is required as far as the salt-wasting part of the CAH goes.
