re: re: Does my son have CAH?
Oct. 30th, 2002   3:12pm

Hi Jo

Sorry to hear you are going through this difficult period, waiting for answers.  Carol is right there are rare forms of CAH which do result in underdeveloped male genitals - namely 3 Beta Hydroxysteorid Dehydrogenase, 17 Alpha Hydroxylase and 20.2 Desmolase, but these are extremely rare forms of CAH.  I assume they have already ruled out Hypospadias, as that is the most common reason for this problem?

Sue
