re: Medic Alert Bracelet or Anklet??
Nov. 18th, 2002   11:22pm

Hi Penny,

My parents gave me a bracelet when I was probably about 6 years old. However my teachers knew that if I was injured or sick that they were to contact my parents. My bracelet didn't not have the medic symbol on it but was rather like a nice piece of jewlery which most assumed was a name bracelet. After years of wearing it, it broke, and it wasn't till this year (i am now 22) that i bought a new one with a medic symbol. I have had numerous people ask what it is for, where as before they just accepted the bracelet with no symbol. I think that it would be appropriate to place the medic alert on either the ankle or the wrist, I guess it comes down to comfort for your daughter. I personally like wearingthings on my wrist, but your daughter maybe different.

Anyway good luck with it, what ever you decide will be the best :)
