re: sodium supplements

Hi Lisa,

I'm a bit nervous about all this computer stuff, but I finally bought one and I am so glad I have found this website.  I have a five year old son he is currently on florinef, cortisone and salt tablets.  The reason my paediatrician has put Ryan on salt tablets is because the dose of florinef we originally were on made Ryan's blood pressure go through the roof.  We played with blood pressure tablets first which I wasn't to happy about.  They weren't crash hot.  We took him off the florinef for a while but that was no good his salt levels depleted rapidly.  However his blood pressure dropped.  Then we finally thought he must have a problem with the florinef.  My paediatrician found out that there is somebody else out there in Australia who had the same reaction to the florinef as Ryan did.  The final outcome is that his florinef tablets were cut right back to only half a tablet a day and he has two normal salt tablets a day as well.  The results are just fine.  He's not complaining of headaches anymore and all his levels are fine.
