I also have a five year old son with SWCAH, however I don't live in NSW but St George in Qld is pretty close near the border. You are not alone I have been through it all as well. But Ryan is doing so well. Yes I do get a Carers Allowance for him, it's not a lot but every little bit helps. You can also get a Health Care Card as well for your son.
