Grace always goes to Gold Coast Hospital (when she needs to) because we don't have private cover. She always gets great care, a few of them in A&E and Children's Ward know her by now. The only problem we have encountered in the past is waiting in A&E if they are really busy, however we have a letter from Dr Pincus which states that she must receive emergency care urgently and states what has to be done. Because Dr Pincus is a consultant Paediatrician at GCH, they generally 'jump' when they see his name. When Grace has surgery earlier it was done at Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane by Dr Peter Borzi, an expert in his field and it didn't cost us a cent. If we had had private health insurance Dr Borzi would also have done the operation and we would have had to pay a certain amount out of our pocket. It's a bit silly really. I'm glad you were happy at Gold Coast Hospital and that Isabella did well with the appendix operation.
