Hi Jodie I have just dicovered this web site as I am 44 years old and was dignosed at the age of 3 I also have a brother in his late 30's with the condition. I t was extremely different for me growing up to my brother(Much easier for boys.) I understand how difficult it is to explain to others I still have trouble, and usually say my body does not make enough cortisone, therefore thats why I take Cortisone. I can speak with you about my teenage days ect. I visited the childrens hospital every 2-3 months till I was 18. I was extremely fortunate to have meet a guy who did not find my condition a problem and now have 2 kids , girl 12 and boy 5 with ceasarian after being told that I would not be able to. Apparently I rewrote medical history for my time. One thing I suggest is to find a friend later on in life for your daughter who has the same condition to talk with as going through adolesents was difficult. To this day I still have never meet or been put in contact with anybody who has this condition at my age and it would have helped. This web site is wonderful
