Hi Jodie
My 3 year old son didn't grow at all from 6-12months of age and then did a huge catch up. Ever since then he has been consistently on the middle percentile ban, my specialist suggested that he was probably on a slightly high dose of hydrocortisone plus he had a couple of lengthy illness' during that time which would have contributed to the 6 month stunted growth aswell.
However, my 1 year old daugther is extremely tiny, the opposite to my son (they both have cah). Everyone thinks she is only 6months of age and can't believe she's nearly walking. She is still wearing 00 size clothing but has consistently been on the bottom percentile ban so apparently as long as they move along one line of growth it doesn't matter, it's only when they are dropping down the growth lines that there is cause for concern as my son did for 6 months. We have just put it down to the fact my husbands sister and her daughter have always been petite so she must take after them.
I hope this may help with your worries.
Linda
