12 year old swcah daughter RE: high blood pressure Feb. 11th, 2004 1:57pm
I was wonder here if this is something that can kick in as they are getting older ?.My daughter is 12 with wscah ....last 2 visits to the Endo it was up ,first time she said maybe its because its a hot day were you rushing (no ) .Second time it was up again and it was taken laying down & standing twice ....Any way yesterday she had a 24 hr monitor on ,took it back this morning and the woman said to me you can come look with me while I look through it ....She said a 12 year old's BP should be around 128 ....her's is between 140/150 when awake & while sleeping was between 135/137 ...Her words to me way to high for a 12 year old .She has faxed the report of to the Endo ,she said to me it maybe the med's she take's doing it ....But she has to take them ....My question is ,is this something that can happen as they get older starting at 12 .I looked around to see if there was something wrote about BP but could not see antthing .....Your thought's would be appreciated
