I am finding out more about CAH now i'm a adult, i'm 36 and i'm bi-sexual i don't know wheather my sexuality has anything to do with CAH. I have had my head in the sand for many yrs as well, cause i'm not a salt loser, very rearly do i get sick. so i guess as long as i take my tablets i was fine. I have a sister who also has it, she is a salt loser, so she always sick but she doesn't seem to go to hospital as much now as she did when she was a kid. we both have kids she has 2 a boy and a girl who don't have CAH i have one girl who doesn't have it either, it was a huge worry at the time. and the Dr's kept saying there's not much chance that our kids would be born with it, but hey the Dr's told my mum that she wouldn't have a second child born with it either, i guess there is lots more known about it now... I always felt intimidated as a kid when the Dr's checked me out, i hated going for my check ups i always said there was nothing wrong with me leave me alone, I have weight problem so i'm always trying to keep it down atm i'm going to the gym every day, i loose most of it pretty quick but as soon as i stop it all comes back again, i wouldn't say i'm a huge eater either, but from wot i'm reading about it, it's normal.
i didn't relise there was a site for CAH until yesterday , i have posted a couple of posts so far lol .....
Amanda ur not alone sweety, i know how u feel, i often thought i wonder if there r other's out there with CAH and are bi or gay.
