As Risty said, you can now receive medication while you are pregnant that may prevent the need for your CAH girl to have surgery. It would not change the fact that the child has CAH. Ask your doctor about it. Dr. New, at NY Presbyterian Hospital (in U.S.), told me about this when we were in for my daughter's last check-up. She has SWCAH and had surgery at 6 mos. I can't tell you how she feels, because she is only a toddler, but she is just like any other kid right now...other than having to take medication. Check out the Main board if you haven't already.
