I can only imagine how unsettling it must be to have your specialist leaving and now trying to find someone new.
One option that comes to mind (I'm not from NSW) is to phone the Endocrinology Department at Westmead Children's Hospital (sydney) to see if the Endocrinology Team do clinics out at Canberra. At the very least they do give referrals so that is probably the best source of information.
